It's becoming near on annually that the Terminal Quartet performs in Melbourne. You'll find us at the Make it up Club Invasion Day Festival with special guest, Ash Wednesday.

Terminal Quartet:
ANDREW GARTON - began producing and performing in the late 70s as synthesist, saxophonist and spoken word performer. Played with punk/soul group Private Lives (1979 - 1983) and fusion/impro outfit Lingo Babel (1985-1987). In the late 80s he established his own outfits, the acoustic based White Punks on Hope and turning his hand to guitar, the jazz-punk trio, Return from Nowhere. Has won numerous awards for documentary soundtracks and interactive installations; published articles on independent media, generative music and radio art; and worked with pioneer community internet organisation, Pegasus Networks. He produced the opening of the Taipei International Arts Festival in 2001 and in 2005 curated the innovative generative sound series, Frequency Post, for KunstRadio.
STEVE LAW - (aka Zen Paradox) former a member of the groups Foil and Guild of Fire, and is a current member of Black Cab and High Pass Filter. His other solo projects include Mutagenic Mind, Mr. Suspicious and Solitary Soul. Steve has been producing avant garde and electro-acoustic music since 1984, and in 1996 was awarded the ABC Classic FM Computer Music Award for his composition "Urbania".
JOHN GRANT - a composer, sound artist, and musician. He has produced sonic installations, improvised ambient soundscapes, conducted synthesis and electronic music training and seminars throughout Asia and Australia, and composed/performed music for wide audiences.
ASH WEDNESDAY - a member of self-styled groups - JAB (1976 - 1979) and MODELS (1979 - 1980), he combined experimental analog synthesizer textures with punk/rock rhythms. In the 80's he established MODERN JAZZ - an impromtu assemblage of electro-based musicians. In the 90s he was on the production team of NINA HAGEN's 'Freud Euch/Bee Happy CD and worked with the legendary EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN, more recently touring with them in 2004 and 2005.
