Dark Ambient Operators (DAO) were resident at Cafe HQ, Fitzroy (Melbourne) and have performed at Centriphugal during Secession's "exp" series.

DAO also appeared at the This Is Not Art Festival/Electrofringe, Newcastle (NSW), October 2000. Both members of DAO performed in Undercurrents, a performance by the Toy Satellite collective at the opening of the Taipei International Arts Festival, April 2001.
